I like the idea of meeting people online, but I have no idea how to get passed all the turds floating around in cyberspace.

I've had very few even remotely interesting email exchanges on Match.com... Most initial contacts have been plain weird or freaky. Some have even been scary!

Do you have any tips on making online dating more efficient?
