Was he just playing me for sex?

I met this wonderful man at an Irish pub downtime and we had an amazing time. There were drinking, singing and dancing. He was a real gentleman and one thing led to another and we ended up at my place and we had sex.

In the morning when we kissed goodbye he said he would call me. Well, he didn't call at all and it's been almost two weeks now. I know he could contact me if he wanted to as I work just down the street for him.

What happened? I wouldn't have has sex with him had he not expressed all those strong feelings for me! Was he just playing me for sex?

Listen, when a man you met in a bar for the first time has sex with you the same night, he is not a gentleman, he’s a player, worse than a player, he’s pond scum. This type of activity is otherwise known as a One Night Stand. You can usually detect a one night stand from a few clues: you usually meet him at a bar or a party, he tells you everything you have ever wanted to hear from a man, he makes you feel safe and wanted and cared for, he’ll follow you back to your place and seduce you, and he will always promise to call and won’t. My dear, you should have known better.
