Is sex in a relationship important and necessary? I have a met a great guy but I have huge problem --- I don't enjoy sex! I mean, I can barely stand the though of it...

My boyfriend is getting more and more confused about me turning him down all the time but I don't know how to explain myself to him.

I wish we could have a relationship on a deeper level instead.

Unless you two are ok with the lack of physical contact then I would say yes, sex or some form of physical affection is necessary in a relationship. If the reason why you cannot stand the act itself, but can maybe stand other types of sexual interaction, is pain then you need to see a doctor pronto. There are different techniques and suggestions that a doctor can give you to make things run more smoothly. Definitely talk to your boyfriend, the man deserves to know what’s up!

Good luck!
