How can you love someone one day and then suddenly you don't? My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend in Vermont together but when we got back, he broke up with me!

I mean he literally kissed me goodbye when he dropped me off at my place. I'm not even angry or sad --- I'm in shock!

This was the first time we ever spent all our time together for a few days. Had you asked me, I thought all went really well! We didn't have one argument even.

I do not agree with Dog, I also think this guy has some major issues that he needs professional help in dealing with. First of all, I think he was planning on breaking up with you for a while. Second of all, I think since this trip to Vermont was probably planned ahead of time he though "why the heck make needless drama now, just drop the ball after" which still doesn't make it right on his part, honesty is always best but this man doesn't seem to want to deal with life and would rather just avoid confrontation as much as possible (very unrealistic).
Or (this is where the professional help comes in) he does this to all his gf's as a part of the "goodbye" process and gives them one last hurrah! Before splattering their hearts on the pavement outside their houses. Maybe he gets a kick out of, maybe he secretly hates women and this is his sick and twisted way of getting it out of his system by being manipulative and sneaky.
Whatever the case, its over and you obviously didn't know him at all and rest assured you are much better off!
